What is the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about wine?, Chile, Argentina, Spain, France, Portugal, Uruguay and South Africa even among many others, what is safe (and a bit sad) is that they never think of Venezuela as a wine producer, because in our country !!!!, wines produced in small quantities but enough to feed the curious people, plus we have broths very good quality.
Many wonder that, as in a tropical climate so you can make good wines, I reply that thanks to such advanced technology we have more and more opportunity to learn about wines as exotic and different as here. To know a little about the history of wine in our country are the following:
His story begins in the eighties with 120 acres of Altagracia (Lara state), teachers were brought French vintners were advising teaching winery to get the best expression in each cultivar was grown, planted under a set of trellises, drip irrigation, among others, then came the era of betting technology growth is not spared in investing millions to bring the best in technical advances to achieve the best winemaking, finally in 2005 is strengthened by integrating with CA Cervecería Polar, engaged in the business of beer and malt and other beverages.

Lara and everyone can have the pleasure to visit, for the curious and wine professionals is an honor to have vineyards in our country that we open a window to the knowledge of what we find abroad, organized walks are conducted that show you almost the entire process of wine making from grape to the final product through a balloon ride that shows you a whole new perspective never before dreamed.
Finally, Bodegas Pomar also has to his credit several international awards confirm that in our country the effort has paid off and although it may be long to be a great producer worldwide, we are on track to achieve this, the world of wine is complex and what is certain is that nothing happens immediately, through the years is that you reap lasting success, just be patient and to always support ours!.
